Posted by salaamallah@hotmail.com on Tue Mar 27 20:41:19 2012 LACMTA Blue Line Collides with School Police CarBlue Line train collided with a school police car in downtown LA shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, fire officials said. The driver of the police vehicle, believed to be the sole occupant of that car, was transported by police escort to the hospital with unknown injuries, according to officials in the LAPD Central Traffic Division. First responders used the Jaws of Life to pry the door off the police car to extract the driver. The crash occurred near the intersection of Los Angeles Street and Washington Boulevard. Fire officials said multiple victims were potentially involved, and all appeared to have minor injuries. KNBC los angeles source |
