What's left of the North Shore line is high platform. Certainly consideration must be given to the cost of removing the high platforms and installing low platforms.It'd be very straightforward to modify the track bed in the course of construction to raise the tracks by around 2 feet to provide level boarding for the LRV at the "high" platform. That would be a lot easier to do than to try to make a car work with level boarding at both high and low platforms. |
