What was the purpose of having high platforms in the Market Street MUNI tunnels then . . . ?Arguably, the same reason that Frankfurt went high platform for their Stadtbahn, superior loading characteristics and reduced dwell time at core stations. Mind you, most of those advantages went away with the development of 70% low-floor Stadtbahn units. |
