Apparently, people are now overly dependent upon the final destination of the train to figure out where it is going. I don't get it personally, seeing as plenty of other subways in world class cities with splitting lines. I think the issue in DC is going to be that unlike in London or Paris, where there are branches, there are never two different lines going to the same terminal from the same platform within the core. Even in London, the Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines to Uxbridge don't share platforms in center London. You will be on the C or D route in the core and have both Orange and Blue line trains to Largo AND Orange Line trains to New Carrollton. I see that as being the issue. |
