I understand that, but depending on what TPH is needed at the end of the day once the Silver Line is fully open, I'd advocate for matching the east and west sides of the C and D route in a way that each line only has one destination at each end (or at a minimum, there are only short turns as needed, not branches). It would be simpler for the passengers that way.The splitting of the Yellow and Orange lines only applies during rush hour. Midday weekends and evenings the service will be as it is today. I think we've been saying that for years. I forget who said this, but they built all that beautiful track and have never had enough trains to run on it. I have been saying this sense the 1980s when I was posting on USENET at misc.transport.urban-transit. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
