I don't mind the split on the south end of the Yellow Line. However, I still think they should try matching the headways east and west ends of the trains running through downtown on the C and D routes so that the Orange Line isn't going all over the place. The Orange line trains going to and coming from Largo will be carrying the passenger that are presently using Blue line trains. The only reduction in headways will be between Rosslyn and Pentagon. TPH will remain the same on the C D trunk between Rosslyn and Stadium-Armory, TPH will be greater on the E trunk north of Mount Vernon Square. This redeployment of rolling stock to accommodate passenger loads would not be an issue if WMATA would simply procure more rolling stock to allow more then 20 TPH on the trunk segments of the system.
