How will it be more comfortable to need to use the bathroom and be unable to walk the full length of the train to find the one that doesn't smell like ass? How will it be more comfortable to travel in lightweight rolling stock that has the ride characteristics of a wheelie bin? Oh wait, you're assuming that Caltrain will be maintaining its track to German standards.The Superliners tried to get away with fancy panty German trucks, but when the second order came around Amtrak decided to go back to good old General Steel Castings. Hey, why don't we throw some half axles into the mix while we're at it. |
