I agree with you, there is a need in lower Manhattan.The already built lower level tunnel under the east river was in place. The streets to bore under near Grand Central terminal have less and will require less building under pinning. Far Less costly. Upper levels of the terminal already in place, at GCT. What kind of low profile coaches does NJT have, if trains were to continue to Brooklyn from NJ. |
