That is what I keep saying. Even with the recent renovations, they could have demolished the side platforms and build the new ones over the local tracks and then build the local tracks where the side platforms used to be (maybe need to have the switches located further west of the station). That way the G can end at 4th av and everyone: MTA (shortened line) and riders (connection to R) would be happy. |
