Let's not get carried away with the repainting.Making the seats' paint job look like the R160's is overkill and an unnecessary expense. R160 like painted seats would give the vandals a new blackboard. They'll be scratched up in no time and you'll see the (current) gray re-appear. Budgets rule. Hopefully the cars with interior rust issues will be remedied, along with painting of the walls. Customers' perception (not those of the railfan) is only improved with relaibility of the cars and most importantly resolution of the air conditioning issues with these cars, which has been a big problem since the cars returned from GOH. |
