I'm not looking at a bus map, as I said, I live there. I'm aware that they're one-way streets, but that would still equate to a bus route every other street. As it stands, I walk to/from Nostrand to catch the 44 or the A far more often then I find use for the 43. If they got rid of the 43 outright, what would be the impact? A walk of 3 blocks? For most of my younger years, I would walk what google maps describes as 0.8 mi to the closest train station, and that walk didn't seem excessive. Why can't people in these areas be expected to do similar? |
