Then there would have been need for only 78 M-1a cars, not 178.Ronan got 60 rid of LIRR double-decker and 20 MP70T cars scrapped that were built between 1947 and 1953 by 1972, but the former had aluminitus corrosion, and the latter did not have air conditioning. The original ACMU's had AC. |
