Over at Metro North, the suits quietly admit that it was an expensive mistake to run 3d rail from North White Plains to Brewster North (Southeast)Heh, I railfanned that line on Monday! Long ride though, It felt weird riding M7s in such a rural area, as the other areas they run (Both on LIRR & MNR) is kinda heavily populated. I never knew 3rd rail north of NWP was done by MN, I always thought it was like that since the NYC Central days or whatever railroad ran the Harlem line before MN did. |
