1 Train annoyances...why? |

Posted by El-Train on Mon Feb 20 21:30:35 2012 Wow, it's been a while since I've been 'round these parts, board's looking pretty sparse unfortunately.I have a couple of questions regarding the 1 line, hoping some of ya'll could answer them: - Why do trains, specifically Uptown ones, wait at Chambers, TS and 96th St? - Why is it that service, especially evening rush service, is so sparse. 5-6 minute spacing between trains mang. At 96th, there's almost always 3-4 Uptown expresses for every local, and the crowds just pile and pile like my college coursework. :) The trains are already packed coming into 96th so sometimes I have to wait for a following train Is it because there isn't enough rolling stock or track limitations? |
