He brought FEDERAL HIGHWAY money to new york....money that was set for such. If he didnt get that HIGHWAY. Money here...it would have went to some OTHER city for THEIRhighway or bridge project instead. Its not like that money would have been used for 'transit' instead. Nobody was building transiteverybody was building highways. Hes a man of his era. |
