Why should be any differences between them and the R-160s since they probably will (or at least should) be fully compatible with the 160s. The R-1s through 9s were basically the same car in appearance with the exception of the double pane storm door windows on the R-6s and up. The same was true of the R-26s and 28s, R-27s and 30s, and the R-29s and 33s. Some of the minor differences between the R-44s and 46s I believe had to do with improving functionality rather than just change for change's sake. The principal reason that the 68s had the differences they did from the R-44s and 46s was the MTA's decision to modify the cars to make them more graffiti resistant. |
