I doubt it I think they would stay for at least 10 more years, They are going to need more cars for the future when 2nd ave opens, in the summer of 2012 the (L) is getting more trains added meaning the some of the R160's on the (J)/(M) lines will be taken off for the (L) meaning some R32's would run in their place, They are gonna need more than what the (MTA) wants to order if they just order the base order, expect to see at least 70-80 R32's or more remain in service by the time these R179's hit service 2nd ave subway will be open or nearly completed |
