That is not true on the Rockaway line. That is however true on the LIRR MOntauk Branch through Queens had that in it's charter, and the reason that quirky local service lasted as long as it did through there, and why one train a day still uses the line (they had some sort of loophole filled to get rid of the local service.The Rockaway Branch didn't have such a stipulation in it's charter. |
