There is STILL a mechanical connection between the reels. There might be a switch that commands the computer chip to start and stop the reels, etc., but the machine itself is still a mechanical device. I've seen my brother-in-law open a mechanical slot up in front of me, and watched the reels and rods operate up and down while the game is played. To me, an "electronic" slot machine has no such moving parts, just screens, pushbuttons, and card readers. |
