Posted by R36 #9346 on Fri Sep 30 20:39:41 2011 So I rode the 7 train out towards Corona to see if the R142As were still in the yard. As the train I was on entered 111th Street, I was greeted with the R142As on their way out of the yard! I got off the train and took some shots. I'm not sure what this accordion-folded sheet is for.  And additional wires, of course.   With some of the "regulars"   Getting ready to uncouple  Meanwhile, a work train passes above.    Here's one half of the train…  …and there's the other half.  Waiting for the line-up   Five cars on one track…  …and add five more…  …and you get this. Waiting again…  And heading back to the yard. Thanks for looking! |
