The reasoning at the time was that the IRT crews suffered the most because of the loss of jobs on the 3rd Avenue el, the BMT second most because of the loss of Fulton and Culver jobs. Why the IND got any jobs at all is beyond me. They lost the Court Street Shuttle? LOL. |
