I think there's confusion between what the Dyre Ave. line was in practice (IRT) and in administration (IND). It was physically IRT, but was staffed and ruled as IND. This was due to the never instituted intention to connect the entire NYW&B ROW to the never built SAS. The connection to the IRT was built when that plan was dropped.The Port Jervis line is very similar. It's Metro North by label, NJT in operation. |
