I have a theory, having brought trains back there and seen the signals, it definitely at one point did go past that wall. I think originally they built the tunnels going toward 76 st and then they were later filled and sealed. Because if they were used by Con-Ed or Verizon or any other utility company or transit there would grates etc etc around that area. I simply think they filled it and left. |
