Time to show the PATH system some love, and present you with some PATH pix from the Journal Square/Jersey City area!! Hope you will enjoy 'em!! And especially for you PA-5 lovers, I had nothing but PA-5s for you!!!

Taken from the Van Wagenen Avenue footbridge adjacent to Newark Avenu, west of Journal Square, and bear with me, as shooting thru the mesh protective grating over the sides of the footbridge was slightly difficult, but I think I made it work!!

For Jersey Mike........signals!!!! :-D

Looking east towards Journal Square (the left signal is double flashing yellow, which indicates a repeater signal for the next signal, which also indicates "Speed Control"; Proceed in accordance with the posted speed))

Looking west towards Harrison and Newark, where we see the interlocking and crossover sporting 3 different types of signals. Take your pick which you like better!! Far right signal displays "Right Clear", and the CSAO (ex-PRR) Harsimus Cove Branch are at the right......

Now, for some trains with those signals (You didn't really think I was gonna leave out the trains, did you???)......

The rather weedy tracks to the left are the CSAO (ex-PRR) Harsimus Cove Branch, used mainly for the set-up of NS Train 65J, and occasional moves in order for trains being set-up or broken up at South Kearny Yard to make reverse/run around moves. It used to lead to the National Docks Secondary and original Milepost 0 of the Conrail (now CSX) River Line at a point called CP NAVE and the original Bergen Tunnel (now NJT HBLR), but the tracks are dead ended just over the top of the National Docks Secondary, and CP NAVE is no longer, and the Bergen Tunnel of the former Conrail River Line are now part of the NJT Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Line, Tonnelle Avenue extension. I believe PATH once had a physical connection to this track just east of Journal Square, but I believe it was removed, as a physical connection to the CSAO tracks I understand exists adjacent to Harrison Maintenance Facility/Yard aside South Kearny Yard

A truly MASSIVE (lost count after 120 cars, the first 50 were a string of empty potash hoppers) Q410, Rice Yard, Waycross GA to Selkirk Yard, Albany NY grinds around the sharp curve between South Kearny Yard and the Hackansack River Drawbridge and CP MARION (the CP MARION homeball is just out of view), lead by ES44AH 709 and SD70AC 4588 (ex-CR 4143). Again, forgive me, the former PRR catenary poles and the fence mesh wreaked havoc on me, so I caught these the best I could!!
