Problem is where to put the station in Allentown if you don't want to do a reverse move in the case of re-extending passenger service to places like Reading and Harrisburg; both the Lehigh Valley and CNJ station locations in Allentown are now in dead ends (American Parkway was built on the right of way of both railroads west of the stations), and never had a direct way to run onto the Reading towards Harrisburg. |
