Are the brown speckles within the "23 St-ELY AVENUE" mosaic nameplates original too? I don't think I've seen them elsewhere at any IND station.Anyone recall what the Woodhaven Blvd IND station looked like before its mid-90s overhaul? Did the walls have "WOODHAVEN" on those white-on-black tiles underneath the tileband? Seems odd the station lacks them, along with the same white-on-black tiled arrows pointing to exits. |
