Posted by Train Man Paul : Metro-North's Best Conductor FOR ALL 3 LINES!!! on Wed May 25 06:58:01 2011 Here are a few of my shots from this past Sunday, when a spur of the moment chase of the Lo-Vs resulted in meeting some of Subchat's best!! Also, we see some all-stars of the NYCT rails, which starred in Sunday's outing!! Why not take a look??? I figured you would!! :-)First, I started with some standard issue R-142s on the #4, the current All Stars of the #4 @ 161st Street Posed with Yankee Stadium as a backdrop Comin' atcha to Woodlawn Now, enter our ol' school All Stars!!! The famous IRT Lo-Vs Tootin' her way up M Track With Yankee Stadium as a backdrop, and the folks were shootin', and yes even the officer was shootin'!! (No pun intended.....unless you want there to be!! :-D) Now, as the chase now head north up the #4 Line, some more All Stars (and rather suspicious lookin' characters) were observed en route!! Can you identify this "characters"????? First they didn't even know they were being shot SHIT!!! My cover was blown!!! :-D (Does the guy in the black ever put that camera down??? :-D) SMILE!!! You're on Candid Camera!!! :-D Now, at Burnside Avenue A lowly set of R-142s gets ready to head north to Woodlawn And southward to Manhattan and Brooklyn Now arriving on M Track at Burnside Avenue, the ol' school All Stars on their next trip south to 149th Street - Grand Concourse, commanded on the south end by T/O Derrick S. Lo-V 5292 posed with the station sign Time for some up-close looks...... A makeshift birth certificate, as this girl is definitely over the legal age!!! :-D Express to Grand Central and City Hall Some conductor's views from the operating position between the cars (How I would LOVE to be conductor on these!!!! And since I couldn't actually shot from the actual position, I did these as best and as safely as I can!!) Looking north Looking south The conductor's operating position (how fun winters, rainy weather and dealings with school kids must have been!!! :-D) Ol' Glory!!! God Bless America, man!!! :-) Back to 149th she goes!! Later, she appears again at Bedford Park Blvd (Yep, even the "Po-Leece" were shootin' it!!! Pun or no pun intended, I leave that up to you!!) Round tha' bend!!! Now, she takes in quality time @ Mosholu Parkway, M Track Side by sides with their more futuristic "great grandkids" Thank you all for viewing!! Hope you have enjoyed!! Many of the great photographers posted shots here similar to some of what I have, so do forgive me for that for any similarities!!! And tune in for my next part, where I illustrate the other All Stars of this day!!! :-) |
