Most of the varnish in the latter days of NYC passenger service was hauled by Alco RS-3s. That included the Weehawken-Albany train. But imagine a Tappan-Zee rail crossing and a connecting track in Orangeburg . . . could have P32AC-DMs and Shoreliners at least . . .
