However, I am compelled to point out at this time that there is a technical difference between Bi-level and multi-level cars. As the turtle of al turtles was not aware of this difference during the debate, it should not detract from your excellent portrayal of the shelled buffoon.For the record, Multi-levels such as NJT uses has the majority of the seating on 2 levels as do the LIRR Bi-levels. The difference is that the NJT multi-levels can utilize standard and low-level platforms due to doors at both levels. The LIRR bi-levels can only use raised platforms. The differing terms have nothing to do with seating. Whineberg was unaware of this until I clarified the point at the end of the historic thread. |
