But they knew that the Beach subway was still there, they didn't stumble into it by accident. It may have been popularly forgotten, but it wasn't unknown and surprising. Same thing with the Atlantic Avenue Tunnel. Why should 76th Street be so unique? The station should be called Area 76 (cf. Area 51) because it must have been used for weird military experiments if its so secret. |
