I'll just leave it with my own realities of walking into other people's facilities or reviewing them. I, nor any other engineer, are the least bit interested in design blueprints beyond perhaps a "what were they thinking?" autopsy after a disaster. The only blueprints of any value are the "as built" ones, and those are the ones normally retained as records of any facility where potential maintenance or modification might occur in the future. Original designs are useless if that isn't what was built. |
