My opinion, no proof - just conjecture. They built the cinder block wall about halfway, then threw dirt over it so if anyone tried to dig under the wall or partway up it, dirt would be revealed and fall out, discouraging those who wished to explore from doing so. It would be quite difficult, if not impossible, to bring the dirt up to the top of the cinder block wall unless the wall had been installed first and the dirt put in from in back of the wall. This, of course, would require another entrance somewhere to bring the dirt in. It might be possible to drill holes at the top of the wall and look through there with whatever devices are available.
