Someone should piece together documentation of just what existed in the vicinity of 76th Street around the time the Pitkin subway was being constructed. Of particular interest, was there streetcar service nearby? That should shed some light on station placement, and possibly make more of a case that it may have been built. If was a total wasteland, chances are it wasn't. However, if it was like around the Queens Blvd line through Elmhurst and Forest Hills about the same time, it might have been the equivalent of "67th Avenue," somewhat strengthening the possibility that it did get built.

And, those who have claimed to have seen or possess documentation of its existence need to get off their backsides, scan it and post it. Excuses of not having a scanner or anywhere to upload it may have worked 5 or 10 years ago, but not any longer. If you claim it, you prove it.
