From a previous message: "There are plenty of abandoned stations which are not practical. Court St, Lower 9th, even lower Bergen, City Hall lower (BMT). But this controversy is NOT finding out about it to use, but just to know it's there."

Well the IND Court Street station was used for years as a location for movies and commercials, well before its use as the Transit Exhibit in the 1970's, to later become the Transit Museum.

The lower level of City Hall has been used for decades as train storage for the EE, RR, R, N, W, and some Q trains. The Lower level of 9th Avenue has long been used for garbage trains, work trains, and other reasons.

Just a couple of notes.
Mike
