If the guy didn't readily identify himself as a cop, he is within his right to ask, especially in this day and age of people impersonating cops and committing crimes as a result.Nilet was confronted by uniformed cops, and ones who identified themselves. Had the person just approached him and not identified himself as a cop and not shown ID, I would not have ever said a word of wrong against that, or anyone who requests the same. Again, in this day and age of official impersonation, and crimes being committed against people as a result, you are, and we all are, within our right to ask. Again, there is no double standard, and again Fred G has much more integrity here than the people you have mentioned, and as far as the Railfan and Railroad editor issue, I did shun the actions of the officers trying to enforce something that does not exist. |
