The punishment is showing up to have it thrown out.Hopefully. As it is it's just his word against Fred's. And even if the cop decides not to show if it's like my citation in LA it's more than that. Fred may or may not have to: 1. Show up to say that he will contest the citation and request an arraignment. 2. Show up at an arraignment to plead not guilty. 3. Pay some amount (mine was supposed to be $900 but was waived) in order to schedule a trial. 4. Show up at a trial where the cop may or may not show up. |
