Having 1 cop screw up is bad enough, but 5 is beyond stupid.It's fairly indicative of a willful disregard for the law. The court should award damages of $1 million against the NYPD for each officer involved. A $5 million hole in their budget would serve them right. They'd have to follow the TWU's example and remortgage their headquarters and start behaving for the next 20 years. |
