Probably because he wasn't arrested until several months later.

I wouldn't be surprised if drugs or alcohol weren't involved. Following random people around while armed seems like something that someone would do after drinking a six pack or two.

When they let him walk without charges justice failed.

As to the death threats, he's a vigilante asshole. Evidenced by his comments about ""they" always get away with it" to the Sanford dispatcher. What should he expect? A fookin medal?

Among the findings of the Sanford paramedic who examined George Zimmerman is his report that Zimmerman was on Restoril (Tamazepam), which is known to have Ambien-like side effects, wherein those who take the drug end up doing all kinds of things while "partially asleep", according to the manufacturer, who adds that people often have no recollection of those activities upon fully awakening.

From an MSNBC report:

Zimmerman himself was on a prescription for Tamazepam, according to the paramedic's incident report reproducing his medical records. (Tamazepam is also known as Restoril and is prescribed for anxiety and insomnia.)

Since Zimmerman was never tested for alcohol or drugs after the shooting, we'll never know what, besides Restoril, was in his system. It is worth noting that Restoril is an anxiety drug, not exactly the best condition for a person with a GUN to be in...

Anyone on drugs like that shouldn't have a gun. His license to carry should have been pulled for medical reasons. When he gets over whatever he has, it can be restored upon the filing of a medical report by a doctor that states he is medically/psychologically cleared. This goes for anyone receiving medical treatment that includes mind-altering drugs (which include those sleep aids with side effects such as unrecallable behavior). It should be national law.

If Restoril appears on Zimmerman's ACR, it was in his system at the time the report was made. The rationale for this conclusion is EMS protocol, which mandates the documentation of any meds the patient is currently on, because of potential contraindications to other meds the EMS crew or ER personnel may have to give the patient.

On and " mental or mood problems (eg, aggression, agitation, anxiety)" are among the "severe side effects of Restoril (Temazepam), as listed by the manufacturer.

Angela Corey has won a very recent case with even longer odds, however. Last week, she won a case in a case where everyone presumed SYG would have applied...but Corey successfully defeated an invocation attempt.

The person on trial was Marissa Alexander, who was a victim of domestic violence and shot her husband. The trial was a bench trial.

That is why Corey was brought in - to deconstruct an SYG defense.
