Thing remains, this was KNOWN as patient 0 hit our shores. We had a little bit of time, yet they did nothing with it . We could have been Germany, experiencing few deaths, but now we're on Italy's trajectory. Why still, to this day, we don’t have the tests available to mass-test everyone that's willing? We KNOW this disease can be transmitted before a patient experiences symptoms. We KNOW that some people do not ever experience symptoms, yet shed virus for weeks. We KNOW how transmissible this is. |

Why still, to this day, we don’t have the tests available to mass-test everyone that's willing?Tests may be getting even scarcer. NYC Health & Hospitals now limits tests only to those admitted to a hospital. If you have symptoms they now tell you to go home and come back in 7 days. They want to make sure the hospitals don't become hot spots. |

With 8 strains at last count, there are two strains in America. The Italian Strain, and the Chinese Strain. We're still unsure if it was here in Janurary/February though. |

Unless we're going to permanently increase our hospital capacity and our morgue facilities so that we can properly dispose of 2% of the population and have about 12% (or 5 or 19) of the population in the hospital for the yearly SARS2 wave, whats the point of the percentage exactly? |

In my home county in NJ, pop. 330,000, as of April 1, we have 475 confirmed cases and 8 dead (1.7%). Statewide death rate is 1.6%.If there is an overall death rate of 1%, I suspect we have 800 or another 325 people walking around who have it, don't know it, and may never know it. That would be 1 per 412 persons. |
