He'll be fine. There's a GoFundMe already up for him, and it has so far raised more than $24K.

Even if he doesn't get a settlement, he'll have good money. While driving a desk, Pantaleo still made beaucoup OT. Money won't be at issue.

Happy? Nah. Whats to be happy about? Nobody should find happiness in tragedy. There are no winners here, only losers. Garner lost his life. Pantaleo lost his life as he knows it. It is done. Time to move on. Nothing can be changed or brought back by rehashing this over and over.
Pantaleo should take whatever $$$ is due to him & get the hell out of NYC. Move at least 1000 miles away, try & start over & thank his lucky stars that hes not in a max security lockup doing serious time.
End of story.

He couldn’t,t breathe, thus logic logic dictates the chokehold be released by the time he hit the pavement. However, Pantaleo held it. That was the line he chose to cross. He deserves firing at minimum. Sad to think this is as close to justice as Mr Garners family will ever see.
