I remember people being questioned by the authorities in this country for not supporting Obama. Not to mention folks like Greyson-D who wanted to lock people up.

Sisi refused to meet with OBama, but will with Trump.

You need to keep yourself in perspective.

I didn't get to post it yet, but Obama denied a new road in Michigan for loggers. Would've saved an infinite amount of gas, which would've reduced emissions tons, and lowered the sea levels.

Cali destroyed their environment by their dams and destruction of state parks for pot fields.

There are very few places where people can speak their mind anyway. Hell we're about to lose Canada (M103).

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. In Egypt Women can once again drive cars and walk around without hijab. When someone finally scrapes together enough to buy an air conditioner for their single wide trailer, you don't turn around and bemoan the lack of an in-ground pool in the backyard...

Carter (Re: Columbia University sociology fellow predicts Trump will likely be re-elected in 2020)

Even Democrats should admit that Jimmy Carter was the worst President of the 20th century, if not all time.

Carter came in with the GOP in disarray. Nixon had been disgraced, Ford was a boob and the country was not in great shape economically. The GOP was the party of corruption. Carter was voted in as a breath of fresh Southern air - a smiling face, a courteous demeanor and a big ol' helpin' of Southern charm. He was, in a way, the Barack Obama of 1976.

So what happened? His utter incompetency turned the country against the Democrats in just four short years. People didn't want to hear about "diminished expectations" or a "great malaise". They wanted someone to be a leader. By the time Reagan came in in 1980, Americanswere fed up with Carter and couldn't wait to get rid of him.

No President ever came in with so much political capital, only to have it flushed away so quickly. That's why Carter sucked.

Yes, Carter blew a lot of chances to get things done.

He never referred to a great malaise - that's a fabricated quote.

And economists unfortunately weren't knowledgeable enough then to figure out how government policy could get the country out of stagflation. God forbid anything as serious as that comes up during the trump administration - the economists he would rely on are just as ignorant as Carter's economists were, even though economics has made 40 years of useful advances.

No, but he was closer to Bush* in letting the Paki's have the bomb. I think there was another that I can't remember, unless it was his initial anger at Israel for destroying Iraq's bomb. And if the terrible Charlie Wilsons war movie is correct, he was happer with the Taliban than the soviets in Afghanistan.

I get the impression Reagan was good domestically and big-picture, but when it comes to these little ISIS countries, it was out of his concern.

*Bush, who didn't let the iranian one get closed. Even though the radical left claims Cheney was in charge, he was the one who wanted, and rumored to have had Saudi clearance for them to get rid of the Iran problem.
