It's not even the largest city in the Bay Area, that honor actually falls to San Jose (#10; SF is #14 with Austin TX, Indianapolis IN and Jacksonville FL in between, in that order)Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia don't even add up to New York's population. Actually their last estimates in 2013 add up to less people than New York had in 2010, and we added nearly half a million in that same time. New York is an "Alpha Plus Plus" Global City (A measure of how important a city is on the global economic scale). The only other city to share that rank on is London, and all metrics still show New York as the better of the two. Chicago, LA, Toronto and Mexico City are all "Alpha" Class cities, two steps down. |

People who marry in a church or synagogue are good people. We need more people like that.So I'll leave it at this: 162 games per year. Yankees to play 21 on WPIX. In the past the Mets played about 25 on WPIX. So it's very very easy to avoid overlapping scheduling conflicts. Even easier since 2 of the Yankees games on WPIX will probably be vs. Mets. |

The rich do that.I wonder if that Skyscraper in Manhattan with all the multi-million dollar units will be a talking point in the 2016 election? Part of me thinks the DNC is behind construction of it to remind the world of the 1%. In fact, you can produce a graphic of the building as a 1 with a % sign next to it to drive the point. |

It's becoming old and tired and other cities have caught up in terms of amenities. Other cities are also more affordable to the majority of people who live there.your pal, Fred |

It will remain the tallest in the Western Hemisphere, with the second tallest one 4,000 feet down West 57 Street at 157 West 57. |
