You read it the way you want, maybe the unions seem to finally understand that for all the support (not just money, manpower) they've faithfully given Democrats, labor is taken for granted, like African-Americans.It would be ironic if his support for work permits for 100s of thousands of illegals will further undermine organized labor and create legal competition for jobs with black communities. |

Meanwhile TWU is concerned with important issues, like marching against stop-and-frisk while the workers have no raise and are looking at givebacks that could result in a wage decrease. No one respects TWU. That union is laughed at really. |

I've long said that the TWU should drop its social and political agendas and begin to advocate seriously for its members. Aside from administering the Health Benefits trust, the TWUs sole function seems to be to minister to the problem employees. I think that the 95% of employees who follow the rules and do their jobs diligently should have a more aggressive advocacy in return for their union dues. |

FTR: We don't have any issues with anyone who spent their life "performing the people's duties" ... it's just those hypocrites who gladly lived off the taxpayer and then turn around and piss on their own. If he wants smaller government so much, then he should have been the first one in line to stand behind his shit, get a private sector job and a shitty private sector retirement. That's the issue ... he stands firmly behind every policy that wants to shove it up your ass and that ain't right. |
