BUt those are the sources for the swing states for NC, VA and FLA.Any poll not showing a tie in NC should not be trusted. It's going to be close there. |

He doesn't include any "nationwide" polls, only ones done state by state. He explains everything about his methods, his math and the pollsters themselves. Even has graphs of it all ... and he's been dead on every year ... he still has the proff on his site too for each of them. |

BTW ... there's also been a terrible dearth of polls this year. Seems even the pollsters don't give a shit anymore. Check the dates when most of those polls were done last. :)Hover over each state for quick details, go hit the links on the page for the annoying details on each. |

I've been reading about the guy who runs this website that does not like Rasmussen. He is ashamed to be an American and lives abroad. Rasmussen is a devout Christian, so I can see where some of the anger is coming from. I don't remember too many mistakes by Quinnipiac and Rasmussen last time. Indiana had to surprise a few people. |

And of those 3 the state that is most likely to go for Obama is OH. I really doubt any scenario where Obama loses Ohio but still wins the election. |

Mitt Romney has no credible path towards an electoral majority. He might pull off OH if he taps Portman but lose everywhere else. He may pull off FL if he taps Rubio but lose everywhere else. Those two are the safest picks though Rubio would be interested only if the possibility of victory is real. |

Historically, VP candidates provide an actual 2 point bump in their home state. He might get FL with Rubio, but that pick comes with waaay too much baggage to explain away. Won't matter anyway, NH is the tipping point. |

Not as bad as last week's Pew poll, which was D+19, giving Obama an 11 point lead. Polls are pretty much acting like German generals towards the end of the war, afraid of telling Hitler the truth and doing everything possible to entertain his deluded visions of victory. Now the flip side of this is that Obama has taken a 1 point lead over Romney with the only pollster using a fair sample of likely voters (Rasmussen), the first time in a month. But to put even THAT into perspective, Gallup had Kerry ahead in August 2004, Dukakis ahead in August 1988 and Carter ahead in August 1980. |
