It won't survive appeal.

By then rules will have finalized for self-insuring companies, and they will have to comply. If they want to do the medieval thing, they'll have to find individuals that are willing to voluntarily comply with 15th century attitudes.

You do realize, don't you, that almost half the states have similar mandates?

There's no way freedom of religion can only apply against federal laws and not state laws. The Supreme Court has long ruled that the same restrictions apply to both states and the federal government.

Going to be interesting to see where this goes. Once again, a corporation versus a church ... and not even an organization, a company. A regular company.

Since they are self-insured, they will have to comply with the laws for self insured corporations. That's it. Overturned on appeal. What are they gonna do, pay the fines for non-coverage and send their employees to the exchanges where contraceptive coverage is legally mandated?

If they want to have a "Catholic" company, they should 1) pay enough to support families of 12+ children 2) support their female employees through all those pregnancies, maternity leaves and hold their jobs until they return, plus daycare and preschool so they can work 3) provide healthcare coverage for them all. Then their female employees will be supported in the choice to not use contraceptives.

By what logical reasoning do you contend that it will not survive an appeal?

It's just a temporary injunction, not a ruling.

This is going nowhere.

Maybe because 20 states have similar laws that haven't been overturned? That doesn't make it a sure thing, but it's an indication.

Remember the golden rule ... "It ISN'T 'judicial activism' when conservative judges do it." :)

Then the poster should have said that it will "likely" not survive an appeal?
