Suburbs becoming poorer |
Posted by Easy on Mon Jul 9 00:19:09 2012 NYTHardship has built a stronghold in the American suburbs. Whatever image they had as places of affluence and stability was badly shaken last year, when reports analyzing the 2010 census made it clear that the suburbs were getting poorer. |

Kind of ties in to the Brentwood Threads. You've been saying for years that American cities are becoming like Paris where the affluent are in the city and the unwashed masses in the burbs. LI still has affluent pockets, but lots of it is fucked. |

"Could that have something to do with the fact that suburbs are getting "darker"?"I guess you mean the street lamps in the villages.....right? yea...some places do turn off their street lamps to save money in these hard economic times. |
