He made a truly conservative ruling (which liberals are going to rue for decades) and now he is getting maligned by people who claim to be conservative.Glenn Beck is calling him a coward. Michael Savage has gotten himself a third doctorate and is now using his medical skills to diagnose Roberts as losing brain function due to epileptic seizures. And Indiana Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Mike Pence evidently compared the ruling to 9/11, though he later apologized. |

The Supreme Court did not rule on O'bummercare in total. They just ruled on the issue of the "individual Mandate". In reality, the entire law has not been judged by the Supreme Court so one could still believe that it could be unconstitutional. Of course the remark, on it's face, is unfortunate. |

The individual mandate and the medicaid expansion were the only 2 provisions that were addressed because of challenges to lower court rulings. As for the remark attributed to Rand Paul, it's far less idiotic than the gem by Nancy Pelosi where we had to vote for a law to find out what we were voting for. That is as un-American as you can get. She should be legislating in Iran. |

If there were any other RWers out there looking to destroy the one chance we've seen since Teddy Roosevelt first proposed nationalized medical insurance over 100 years ago they should have filed suit. They didn't. I don't know what issues anyone could have with ACA beyond those already decided. By and large, the policies within ACA are very popular.Rand Paul's statement is as idiotic as they get. Even children understand the court's ruling is final. Plenty of Iranians would love to have a Nancy Pelosi legislating for them. |
