As a Puerto Rican about "immigration reform". They sound like Jan Brewer. Amnesty is an issue which does not really affect most latinos. Many are either born here, or came here legally. |

And it's OK to require proof of citizenship, or check for same, when taking voter registration. It is WRONG however, to choose which citizens are allowed to vote. |

Floridas purge netted a whole lot of legitimately registered and active voters whose names were not to their election bureaucracy's liking. Affiliation doesn't matter,what matters most here is that they acted outside the Voting Rights Act, which mandates any action WRT voting records be supervised by the Federal government in particular states, Florida being among them.They did not, so their entire purge will be invalidated and all those voters restored. They can try again, this time with adult supervision. |
