How is this specific to Obama?By the way, the US military also did not accurately report deaths of soldiers at the hands of their fellow soldiers during the Vietnam War. |

Obama kicked off his campaign today. Ohio and Virginia. Two purple states that will decided the election. The candidates will spend a good amount of time in Ohio, Virgina, North Carolina and Florida. It's up to those four states. |

Of all those states, Romney will win all but NC with ease (more than 5 percentage points). His margin of victory in NC will somewhat less than that, but he's still going to win. VA and OH will go whichever way the national trend blows, and Romney will win Florida somewhat handily.Next time you want to talk trash, verify the numbers actually back it up first |

It is, but statewide polling can be deceptive. Most "swing" states will trend whichever way the national mood goes (Ohio especially). Right now the numbers could be deceptive. In 2008, McCain was leading in OH, FL, NC and VA until the national mood swung towards Obama in mid October. The real arbiter of this race will be the September Jobs report. |

Obama won Florida by 3 points in 2008. That's pretty big. And after four years, the demographics favor him more.So we'll consider Florida a blue state now. VA, OH, and NC are the states they GOP has to focus on. They probably wish they had booked their convention in Greensboro or Columbus. |

It was more than a mood swing that changed things for McCain in Florida. He lost by 3 points in Florida. It's the demographics. They favor Democrats. Huge black and Latino population growth in Florida.North Carolina always had a large black population. Certain things happened there to drive blacks to vote, like the Rev Wright ads, Duke, and simply having a black candidate to vote for. |

Check the 2010 race.GOP won big time. Romney will win Florida unless something happens to really shake things up. I don't see another financial collapse of the magnitude of Lehman Brothers on the horizon. Of the big 3 swing states, (FL, VA, OH) Florida is by far the most likely to go Romney.I will make one prediction here which you can bookmark: all 3 of these states will be one by one candidate or the other. They will not be split up. They are national trend states which will go whichever campaign gains some autumn momentum. |

You forget I live in Florida. The GOP victories in Florida were not impressive. Alex Sink is nothing and she barely lost. Only reason she lost is because of the Tea Party momentum at the time. Rubio? LOL. Only reason he shined so bright is because he wound up in a three-way. Had he gone one-on-one vs. Charlie Crist I don't know that he would have won. That was a fiasco. McCain wasn't damaged goods to American women the way Romney and the current GOP is.Obama's margin among female voters will be even greater than in 2008 thanks to the GOP's War on Women. His tally among Hispanics will also be greater than against the Hispanic-friendly, amnesty-loving McCain. You don't understand American political dynamics and what makes people tick just like you never understood the Republican Establishment's criteria when nominating a President. Also in 2008, war hero McCain could rightly hurl the accusation that then-Sen Obama was inexperienced in foreign and military policy. Considering my President's success in that field, the tables are turned on the wimpy, draft-dodging, "we will not attack bin Laden in Pakistan" Etch-a-Sketcher. |
