First of all, the G20 meets in Mexico in June. Afghanistan is NOT a member of the G20 and will not be there as a result.The NATO summit is next week IIRC (may be in 2 weeks) and Afghanistan is NOT a member of NATO either, so they will not be attending. This was no campaign stop. Getting there and back takes a lot of time and involves a lot more risk than a typical campaign stop. But then with all the armed RWers out there, that may be a closer call than it should be. |
